E.VIL Hippo Sticker Package 2010

Project Hippo Sticker Package

I hand drew 500 Hippo’s (125 pages, recycled school papers; 4 Hippo’s per page) using your basic King Size and Fine Point Sharpie. Why not just draw one and copy? I wanted each Hippo to look different, even though they may look the same. Plus, it was great practice for me. It took about a month and a half to finish the 500 Hippo’s. After drawing the 500 Hippo’s I got the 125 pages copied (four times each page) on to sticker paper to produce 2000 Hippo Stickers, which I had to hand cut. Yes, hand cut. I then used various Sharpie Accent Highlighter’s and colored 1000 Hippo’s (other 1000 left black/white). I also cut out the original 500 hand drawn stickers and used my Xyron 5” (create-a-sticker), which adds adhesive, to turn them into one of kind stickers (click here to see process).

Each package contained:
*25 Hippo stickers: 7 (black & white) and 3 each (blue/ green/ orange/ pink/ purple/ yellow)
*2 hand drawn Hippo stickers
*1 Hippo Bic lighter (color may vary) Never know when you might need a lighter.
*Wonka Laffy Taffy (flavor may vary) Jokes on every wrapper.

I sent out 40 packages. All with a different sketched E.VIL Hippo. No package was the same.

Fully funded by Me, Myself, and E.VIL.

Here are a few flicks of the process. Enjoi.
